Gift-giving is so much fun, and we all know Christmas is about Jesus, but in our home, gifts are a special part of celebrating Him. The fact that we get to celebrate at all, and give gifts because He is our gift, the greatest gift we could ever get. I know there are nine thousand gift lists out there for all of our babes, from the Montessori die-hards to the boujie wooden toys, the Waldorf enthusiasts, and tech-savvy families, they are endless. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I love them. The Kavanaugh Report is definitely a frequent go-to for our lists at times!

All that to say, here’s a different kind of list, one for the mamas, because sometimes we get gifts too 😅 These are things I’d never buy for myself, but oh man what a treat they would be!

If you need some inspiration to get your wife, your mother, or maybe yourself- here’s what I got!

I found this calendar on an Instagram ad— is anyone else a sucker for the ads? I hate how well they do their job! I think it’s so cute that there’s a new photo each day, it is definitely a step up from the custom wall calendars of the past. I would bet any grandma would swoon over this as well! The company is Social Print Studio, and there are several stand options available as well.

This Satin curler is the perfect mom's gift if I ever saw one. Effortless curls while I sleep, without the “old school” granny curlers that dig into your head, yes, please! I particularly love that they are one-piece, I tried those foam rollers that were on shark tank once upon a time, and I could never get over how bulky they felt but these seem easy to manage. These are a great price point too, so who knows, maybe I actually will get these and update with a review soon!

This beauty tool is another that’s been all over my ads, and I am continually intrigued! The benefits of red light therapy seem to be numerous, and I love the idea of anti-aging skincare that is chemical free. Have you tried the Solo Wave Wand? Is it all it’s cracked up to be, let me know in the comments!

I’m a huge fan of the want/wear/need/read gift idea. We normally do this with our kids, but for each other cam and I usually stick to one gift, but I’m always a sucker for a new thing to read. I’m not very into fiction or novels at all, but I love a good magazine and I’m always intrigued by any sort of autobiography. A subscription to Architectural Digest or Magnolia Journal is such a treat. I love them because they are a step up from the every day magazine and are really a piece of art for the eyes. Joanna also released a new book this month called The Stories We Tell, and the teasers alone on their account have had me teary-eyed. I cannot wait to get my hands on this book!

This would be a really fun gift to get that I can picture enjoying during that slow week after Christmas and in between New Years when there’s no such thing as time and a balanced diet means pie with your coffee. These sweet Paint By Numbers are customizable, imagine painting a family portrait of your loved ones, it’s just such a sweet idea, but again not an ordinary thing one would ever think to get or want to get for themselves, but I could see being so enjoyable!

Ok, this one is a little over-the-top dream gift, but is anyone else obsessed with cast iron? My lodge has been beautifully seasoned for years now, but I always dream of finding some Griswald vintage pieces and keeping them forever. I stumbled across this company a while back and they aimed to create lightweight and smooth as butter 100% cast iron. They come at a steep price but their reviews from happy customers seem to indicate that these pans will deliver on their promise!

These wool slippers may not top everyone’s list, but if you are like me and live in an area that gets COLD, oh, and having the oldest house in the state that, let’s just say doesn’t know how to retain heat, these slippers look luxurious! I know they aren’t the trendy fuzzy sandal ones all over Amazon but something tells me these will make your feet much happier!

For all my plant people out there, these Hip Haven Planters are the things dreams are made of! Sometimes it’s more about the planter than what’s inside of it, right??

Has anyone else still not done one of these kits?! They always seem so fascinating and the people I know who have done it seem to enjoy learning about the results, plus they are usually discounted around the holidays, so that’s always a plus!

Last, but not least, these beautiful raised beds would make such a great addition to virtually any sized yard. A few mother’s days back, Cameron built me two cedar boxes and we love them, but no matter how you seal them they seem to get worn so quickly. I love the idea of these not warping or discoloring. And that pearl white with some beautiful greens growing in it, or beautiful flowers for our pollinators (or our kitchen tables) just perfect!

What’s on top of your Christmas list this year? What are you most excited to gift to the ones you love? Let me know in the comments 😊
